Steve Goldberger & The Gentle Spirits 11-Piece Big Band

Steve Goldberger puts his bandleader hat back on for another special Gentle Spirits concert, this time at the NOTL Legion.

Following last year's sold-out album and book release shows and a recent Gentle Spirits & guests performance, Goldberger brings together a lineup of veteran Niagara and Southern Ontario musicians for an evening built around their individual musical voices and shared history.

The Gentle Spirits band features Andrew Aldridge and Mike Glatt on guitar, David Norris on drums, Penner MacKay and Sandra Marynissen on percussion, and vocalists Laurel Minnes and Serena Pryne, with Goldberger on bass.

For this performance they're joined by three special guests: Chris Altmann, whose credits include Tim Hicks and New Rebel Westerners, on pedal steel guitar and vocals; Jim Gay, known to Niagara audiences through LMT Connection, Generation Train and the Niagara Rhythm Section, on saxophone; and Paul Schmidt, Goldberger's Brandon Agnew & the Night Shadows bandmate, on trombone.

It's a one-night gathering of musicians with decades of stories, collaborations and music between them.
