Who We Are
More than what happens on stage
Niagara Arts Review is an independent online publication dedicated to the performing arts in the Niagara Region.
We believe the performing arts are about more than what happens on stage. Every performance is part of a larger experience—shaped by the artists, the venue, the organization behind the event, and the audience who shares in it. Our goal is to capture that complete experience through thoughtful, honest, and respectful reviews that reflect not only the performance itself, but the story surrounding it.
At the same time, we believe audiences should have every opportunity to discover the remarkable performances taking place throughout our region. By highlighting upcoming events alongside our reviews, we hope to encourage more people to experience Niagara's performing arts, support the organizations that present them, and contribute to the cultural vitality of the communities they enrich.
As an independent publication, we are committed to fairness, accuracy, and editorial integrity. We celebrate excellence where we find it, offer constructive criticism when appropriate, and approach every performance with respect for the dedication, creativity, and hard work that make live theatre, music, dance, comedy, festivals, and other performing arts experiences possible.
Above all, we believe the performing arts enrich our communities, bring people together, and deserve to be experienced, supported, and remembered.
We believe that great performances deserve more than applause—they deserve to be remembered.
