Palooka! returns to NOTL

After spending a number of years largely dormant, St. Catharines' PALOOKA has been making occasional returns to the stage — and it appears the band may not be finished just yet.
A February performance at Helliwell Hall drew an enthusiastic hometown crowd, adding some momentum to the band's recent return to live performance. PALOOKA now brings its adventurous, guitar-driven RAWK to Niagara Oast House Brewers for a Friday night show.
Featuring Joe Lapinski on guitar and vocals, Jay Peters on drums and vocals, and Eron Stroud on bass, keyboards and vocals, PALOOKA blends art-rock experimentation with a strong pop sensibility. Their sets feature plenty of original material alongside some wonderfully unpredictable choices, with songs by artists as diverse as Ween, Frank Zappa, Prince and David Bowie among the covers they've tackled over the years.
