Ron Hawkins

Ron Hawkins brings more than three decades of Canadian songwriting history to Warehouse Concert Hall for a special solo performance.

Best known as the lead singer, multi-instrumentalist and principal songwriter of Lowest of the Low, Hawkins has built a catalogue spanning more than 20 releases through his work with the band, his solo recordings, the Rusty Nails and the Do Good Assassins.

Lowest of the Low's 1991 debut, Shakespeare My Butt, became an enduring Canadian independent-rock favourite, repeatedly appearing on lists of the country's essential albums and eventually earning the band gold-record recognition. Hawkins' songwriting has continued well beyond that landmark release, encompassing eight Lowest of the Low albums alongside an extensive body of solo and collaborative work.

For this Warehouse appearance, Hawkins strips that catalogue back for a solo evening drawing from across his considerable songbook.
